Category/Product Manager

About the role

What you'll do

• As the Category Manager – Flowers & Gifting, you will own the category from product selection and sourcing to pricing, margins, launch, performance and customer feedback.
• You will work closely with procurement, operations, marketing, sales and vendors to build products that customers love while ensuring strong commercial performance.
• Own the complete Flowers & Gifting category and its business performance.
• Develop and manage the product assortment across bouquets, floral arrangements, gifting products, subscriptions and seasonal offerings.
• Identify customer needs, market trends and emerging product opportunities.
• Conduct competitor and market research to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Work with vendors, florists and suppliers to develop and source products.
• Evaluate product quality, pricing, availability and commercial viability.
• Define pricing and support margin optimisation across the category.
• Develop new products and seasonal collections for occasions such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, birthdays, anniversaries, festivals and corporate gifting.
• Monitor product/category sales, margins, inventory, wastage and customer feedback.
• Identify underperforming products and recommend improvements or discontinuation.

What you'll bring

• 4–8 years of experience in Category Management, Product Management, Buying, Merchandising, Business Management or a similar role.
• Experience in fresh flowers, florists, gifting, D2C, FMCG, lifestyle or consumer products is preferred.
• Strong understanding of product assortment, sourcing, pricing and margins.
• Experience working with vendors and external partners.
• Strong commercial and analytical thinking.
• Ability to understand customer behaviour and convert insights into products.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working with Excel/MIS and business performance data.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Strong execution skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
