Key job responsibilities

Guide engineering on the architectural direction for the platform.

Define and own the API contracts for core platform services — formal specifications with SLAs, versioning, and support models that partner teams across Amazon rely on as the system of record.

Establish a federation model where the platform owns the shared experience shell and partner teams own their individual modules through well-defined integration contracts, so new businesses can integrate without ad hoc coordination.

Build the platform primitives that other product teams design customer experiences on top of.
