About the role

What you'll do

• As we scale, we are investing in building our own internal technology ecosystem, including a custom CRM and operational platform that will become the backbone of our customer, clinical, and operational workflows.
• We are looking for a Technical Product Owner who can bridge business strategy and technology execution. This role is ideal for someone who began their career as a Software Engineer or Developer and has since transitioned into Product Management or Product Ownership.
• The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with product thinking and is capable of making informed decisions on architecture, scalability, integrations, and product prioritization.
• Own the product roadmap for Sova's internal CRM and operational systems.
• Define product vision, priorities, and success metrics.
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements.
• Prioritize features based on business impact, technical feasibility, and customer value.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Customer Success, Clinical, Marketing, and Leadership teams to gather requirements.
• Translate business needs into actionable technical specifications.
• Communicate product decisions, trade-offs, and timelines to stakeholders.
• Act as the primary liaison between business teams and engineering teams.
• Define product KPIs and reporting requirements.

What you'll bring

• 4-8 years of overall experience in Software Engineering, Product Management, or Product Ownership with prior experience as a Software Developer or Full Stack Engineer
• Experience building CRM, workflow management, healthcare, SaaS, or customer lifecycle products from 0 to 1.
• Experience managing internal products used by multiple business functions and strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
• Working knowledge of backend systems, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and integrations.
• Ability to read and understand code, even if not coding full-time.
• Familiarity with modern web application architecture and development practices.
• Experience working with engineering teams in Agile environments.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments with ambiguity and evolving priorities.
